Making a difference in its purest form is not about helping people. People don’t need you to “help them” because that implies an inequality between the both of you. We are all on an equal plain. Each individual regardless of social class or achievement has something to give to the next person. When we give to another, we automatically receive as well. We receive the gift of giving. That is why at DU we say that making a difference is the selfish game of the giver. If you see it this way then join this selfish game with us and lets give away our hearts to others so that we can rejoice in receiving the gift that only giving can give us.
